Chemo DAY 22 (Round 2 Day 8)
To be fair, it is true that the one cat we have left in our household – Lemi – is a cat that I brought into the relationship in the early days over 15 years ago after accidentally falling in “kitten-love”.

I’m writing from the chemo cafe where I’m plugged in and receiving Round 2 infusion through my nearly healed chest port. I can feel the coldness of the medicine as it passes through the tubing under my skin and into my heart.
I’m almost two weeks in now. Each day has brought its ups and downs. The downs have left me fatigued, weary and sore. And as I begin the ascent to better days, my relief will be subtle and brief.
Walking the neighborhood with the girls during Bridges’ mandatory screen-free time, brings me gems of insight each day. And as the changing colors, sounds and scenery of Autumn push Summer to the past, I mourn.
